Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been great about keeping the blog updated...it's been a crazy summer for our family.

In July, we had Bryce's birthday. We went to Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas to celebrate. Bryce could hardly contain his excitement when he realized we were finally in 'his' canyon! We did a lot of nature hikes and tours, the junior ranger program, seen some wildlife, and had a great time. In Vegas, we visited with some friends, went to the dolphin show, Valley Of Fire, Lake Mead, and Rogers Springs. We celebrated 4th of July at our Hometown Celebration, and later, Tahoe for fireworks. We had movies in the park, beach days, swim days, lemonade stands and lots of hiking and exploring.

In August, we had Phoenix's 10th Birthday. We had grief camp and camp for church. We had more park days, swim days, beach days and play dates. More concerts and movies in the park, school prep, and lots and lots of continued busyness! School orientations, soccer season started. We had baptisms. school started (2 started new schools--middle and high school!) and one started band.

Sierra's health has been a continuous ride. Some weeks are better than others. She attempted full days, but those proved to be too much for her body still. We then changed to half days, and eventually decided to make the hard decision to do Connections Academy at home. Recently, her migraines are back with a vengeance, along with some other symptoms. Thankfully, MRI scans have been mostly stable.
She seen the neurosurgeon today, and the neurologist on Friday in California, then is also being referred to another specialist, most likely in California as well. As usual, we could definitely use prayers for her, and for the rest of us as we maneuver our way through pain and symptom management, and new changes and challenges with school.
My own health has also been a bit of a battle, and while I'm not ready to share much here yet, I could also use some prayers.

Ken recently got a new job! This is an answer to many, many prayers. He will be going back into plumbing, with a local company...which will hopefully mean no more overnight stays at work due to the passes being un-passable, a bit more financial security, opportunity for growth and trainings, and just a new chapter. He starts in a couple weeks....and is looking forward to this new adventure.

Life has definitely been a crazy ride these last couple years, with no change in sight. Good, and bad, and hard, and fun, and exciting, and scary and stressful and everything in between kind of moments.
