Makenley turned six months old yesterday. She is doing amazing. She is able to sit unassisted (for a little bit, anyway), she coos and chatters to everyone, plays peek a boo, and gives kisses and hugs.
School started a few weeks ago. Sierra is now in middle school (7th grade), Kai'Lani is in 4th, Phoenix 3rd, Zion kindergarten, and Bryce in preschool. So far, everyone is enjoying the year, and all the kids like their teachers.
We also have five in soccer. Sierra and Ken are also referees....so between school and soccer...there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.
Hope everyone is doing well!
"Rainbow Babies" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.
