Summer is finally here! After a L...O....N....G winter, that felt like the snow would never stop falling, we are looking forward to beautiful warm weather and as many beach days as we can squeeze in.
School is finally out for summer. This was Kai'Lani's last year of middle school, and the last year our little ones will attend the school we have called home for many years, as they are moving to the school we have been zoned for. Bittersweet for sure, and a lot of tears were shed in the midst of excitement and anticipation of the changes ahead. Change will be good. But change is difficult, as well.
We now have a kindergartner, 3rd grader, 5th grader (this coming year will be Zion's last year of elementary), an 8th grader (will be Phoenix's last year of middle school), a Freshman and a senior. How I wish life came with a pause or slow-mo button for these kids.
Sierra and I have embarked on a new adventure, and are transitioning from on-site/in home photography, and now have a studio in downtown Gardnerville. We will still provide on site and in home shoots, and I will still be practicing as a doula, but will have the studio for more options. It's an exciting opportunity, and we're looking forward to serving the area.
Other than that, not much new news since the last update. At the moment, all the kids are healthy, and enjoying break. Kids will start heading to camps this next week. (Lots of camps for them all)...most of July, one or more will be gone to camp. This will be the first year Sierra has gone to camp for this long and this far away since surgery, so we're all stepping out of comfort zone, and trusting others to take care of her. Not an easy task...but I know they will have a blast. This momma will just be glad and relieved when all are under the same roof again.
Sharing some recent pics. Hope everyone is well, and enjoying summer! Till next time...
